May 2025 Newsletter INEOS 4x4 Club Queensland!
As we are welcoming member 62 (Jamie and Mandy from Brisbane) we have almost reached month 6 of the amazing journey of creating the Queensland Club! May has been a travel month for many of the Committee members, so we had to rely on 4wd Queensland to create another epic event for the club! I am sure we will hear soon from the group of club members who have been able to join this year's cleanup if we need to send more Grenadiers to K’gari for next year’s cleanup!
As the president, I felt this 6 month milestone warranted a place in the Grenadier Pub and I have tried to drink my weight at the pub to assure we get a Tile of the club on the wall. (they were mostly Grenadier Ale, in a grenadier pint, so all is good) All promises have been made, but no photographic proof has been provided of the tile being placed (but we are not back in Australia yet)
The value of having a dedicated Ineos club has proven itself over the last month, with different discussions on the whatsapp chat on how we can tackle issues together, and how we can help each other! We also have over 35 people interested in protecting their windscreen and have an offer (which has been validated by 2 club members) on the table with a significant discount for club members. (look for screen protection on the website if you missed this). We will soon email all the details to everyone who registered for this initiative, but there are some other options which are being looked at before we make a decision for the club.

The Cape Committee has brought in another initiative as well! To ensure all club members are having long lasting air filters, we have gone to Unifilter as a club and they will provide us with a solution for our raised air intake! The prototype looks promising, low cost, and high value! If you missed this, email the vice president and make sure you get on the list to be one of the club members to receive one of the first kits at a club discounted rate!
At the last club meeting we decided we would try to alternate club meetings with social Sunday catch ups! This way we can check out the ever growing list of grenadier mods on the club members' grenadiers! Therefore:
Next coffee catchup, it’s the Sunshine coasts turn the 31st of May! Details on the website or on the facebook group! No links this time, because it is just days before we will change our website to the new memberjungle super system!
The concept is simple! Everyone joins between 10am and noon at the Noosa dealership, there will be plenty of interesting build up grenadiers and new mods! (and did we mention coffee?) We will have a simple drive to a nice lunch location! Registration via facebook or email vicepresident@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au
The next club meeting will be on 25th of June at the Australian National Hotel. Great venue, great people, great food!
For those who are interested in getting an update from Justin Hovecar, we have been invited by the Victorian club to join their club meeting (via google meet) on Wednesday the 4th of June. Once we receive the meeting link it will be placed in the calendar on the events page closer to the date of the Meeting. If you can’t find it by early June, email the president. (Big thanks to Marcel! We have been aligning a lot of actions between the clubs and we are definitely joined at the hip!)
Speaking of June, it’s jam packed!!! If you haven’t been to one of the famous Gordon Country weekends, now is your chance! All I can say is bring warm clothes and plenty of smiles, because you will need both! Some great photos from last year's "Recky" are on the website.
The great thing about Gordon Country weekend, it caters for all members! There are “easy” (trust me it will be steep) drives for those who haven’t completed their DA course and there will be some challenging stuff for those who have their certificates! (registration via facebook or if you have no facebook email President@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au )
Reason enough to get trained! And that is what we will be doing on the 21-22nd of June! Black duck Valley shelter 4 has been booked and there are still one or two spots available for those keen to learn what the grenadier can do! The events are on facebook, but for those without facebook reach out to training@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au to reserve your spot.
The latest training video is on our channel! It shows how much fun we had, while learning some new things about our cars! https://www.youtube.com/@Ineos4x4ClubQld
The Cape trip is in full swing! We have 13 cars and a route set! There is still place for a few more grenadiers, so if you like to know more email vicepresident@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au
That was it for now! Hopefully this was the last time with double registration options and people having to look for the events! A lot of work has been done (together with Victoria) on the new Member Jungle system and we are pretty pleased with what we currently have! We are on track to migrate our current member system and website to the new system before the end of May! One great thing about this, we will have one page (yes!! One , uno! een!) page which has the events and the registration for the events!
Happy Wheeling!
Harold
