INEOS 4x4 Club Queensland October Newsletter
Introduction:
With over 100 members we have arrived at a new chapter of our club! Who would have thought that we would surpass many of the current Queensland 4x4 clubs within our first year! We might have done things a bit differently but my feeling is that it is working! With so many members it is getting easier to create more benefits for Grenadier owners. More cars to learn from how to (not) do certain modifications! It is great to see the variety of Grenadiers and the ways different members have taken advantage of the new products which have come to market. There might be posts on the forum or facebook groups but nothing beats having a talk and seeing and checking the latest gear over a cup of coffee! It was great to see so many Grenadiers from members and non-members during our Coffee and Cars at Nudgee beach.

We have created a “getting started "Getting Started” page for the Grenadier to help new owners with the modification essentials. If you think we missed something, let us know! With more people in the club, our buying power increases as well, something which can be noticed from the benefits Benefits page (if you are not earning back your annual membership, you are not buying enough parts). We are working with the Queensland INEOS dealers to have some more benefits for club members on this page soon!
There has been lots of talk about clubs in other states, and we have tried to help where we can. Unfortunately, no new clubs have been started so far! There has been a lot of discussion at our last common event if we would be better off with one national club. The multi-state Land Rover event was well attended and was a good reason to catch up with our friends from other states. All pictures and trip report can be found on the photos Photos page under LandRover gathering 2025. Thanks to everyone who emailed their pictures to social@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au especially our interstate friends Paul and Kerryn!
A big congratulation to John Canny for creating an amazing 3rd instalment of the Cape York video series! If you haven’t seen it you are missing out! https://youtu.be/BFJFFipKpVM?si=_YS9ldkL-0MM4m0X
Shop updates (go to Online Store)
We received the first orders for the club-branded articles and working with the supplier to get them delivered. If you ordered some, please be patient, the goodies will come! We also started a new category “for members by members”. Anyone who wants to list products can now do so at our club! There are a range of 3d printed products. The profits on the articles will go back to the club and will help us fund more events.
Little Grennies event and Little Grennies shirts!
Joel and Lewis have taken it on to create an event for the little ones. Keep an eye out on the event page, or email them (memberships@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au / training@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au) if you like to know more about what they have been planning! We will also do a once off order for club shirts for the little ones. Reach out to Joel or Nicolette if you like to put your order in for a club shirt for your little one.
Training Update
We are not far away from another INEOS training weekend at Black Duck! We are about to release the dates for next year's training session. We are planning 4 sessions of driver awareness training. We also realise that people want to further improve their skills and continue the fun so we are ready for the next step and will be offering Towing, Advanced Driving and Recovery training from next year on. If you like to attend or stay informed, we have created 3 forms so we know what to plan for! More details on New Training
We have been offered by the Brisbane Land Rovers owners club to join them in their first aid course! A tentative date has been set, and the more people join, the lower the cost will be. Look in the Events for more info.
The new training guide has been released. A lot of work has gone into making this, and we feel it is a much better read than our previous more complicated guide. Thanks to everyone who has helped with this! It is only the first release, and we are about to update it with more Grenadier-specific information, so keep an eye open for updates in the training document section. The direct link for downloading the new guide is: https://www.ineos4x4clubqld.com.au/content.cfm?page_id=3116118¤t_category_code=26058. Make sure to download this from a web browser (not the app) and make sure you are logged in, otherwise you will get an error message saying you are not to touch our stuff! (any interstate club reading this, please reach out if you like a copy).
We also have summarised the supporting training videos in a dedicated page Training Tutorial taking advantage of the recent pro series, where you get more details on how the grenadier works created by INEOS.
Events Update
We are looking for people who want to organise trips! If you have some ideas, please email Tom at events@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au and he will be grateful for anyone putting their hand up.
Technical sessions! We understand that all members want to assure they get the maximum out of their car and education is an important part of understanding what you can and can’t do with your car! We are trying 2 different ways to help club members to gain knowledge. On Tuesday the 21st of October we will have an online session with Robert Pepper. Thanks to Adam for organising this! All details can be found at the Events page.
On the 1st of December we will have Steve also known as Rok Dr join us at the Ignition facilities in Banjo to tell us more about how he started the extended manual and what has been happening in WA. Details in the Events, make sure to bring a chair!
On the 26th of October Nick and Sam will be taking the club on a scenic drive and will be meeting up in Kilcoy. The event is sold out, make sure to email if you want to be put on the waiting list.
There are still plenty of places available for the Show / Shine / Swap & Sizzle in Stafford on the 16th of November!
We might be changing our Christmas camping weekend in a one day event, we heard your feedback on how busy everyone gets at the end of the year!
For all other events, we have created an easy-to-view calendar page: Event Calendar
Regional update Wide Bay–Burnett region
The Wide Bay Burnett region has been on an extended trip to Tasmania and will update us soon on what will be happening in their region. The K’gari cleanup has been put on the calendar, and we are in contact with 4wd Queensland to assure we have plenty of space for the Grenadier camp!
Regional update New South Wales
A lot is happening in New South Wales! There is an appetite to form a club and a lot of conversations have been held! For the moment, we are still looking after our NSW friends! Gavin is trying to find a good date for the first NSW trip which will most likely occur in The Hunter region. We are thinking of Sunday the 9th of November. We have also found the perfect location for Christmas drinks! The owner of the Laguna Trading post owns a Grenadier, so the location for celebrating Christmas has been set! A date is all we need!
Socials
Our Social channels are doing well! there has been a lot of interest on what the club is up to by the INEOS global marketing team and they have been spreading the good word on what we doing! If you have good content, make sure to email it social@ineos4x4clubqld.com.au thanks for everyone who has done so!
Thanks everyone! looking forward to catching up! As we are getting closer to Christmas the club meetings will be more social focused and less formal!
